Since 1976 the Stakeout Grill & Bar has dished out awesome steaks and other fine dinners. Located at an altitude of 7,200 feet, the dining patio of the Stakeout Restaurant overlooks the Rio Grande Gorge State Park to the west, and Taos to the north. Enjoy a sunset dinner from a deck where you can see the Mesa Pedernal, 80 miles to the south. Tres Orejas, Cerro, San Antonio, and Taos Mountain are also visible The Picuris (Picturesque) Mountains are to the east, with Kit Carson National Forest and Indian land beyond that. You can also see the Gorge Bridge which leads to Tres Piedras and the town of Carson. The Stakeout is open every night from 5pm to closing.
